Annie received her Bachelor of Arts in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from San Diego State University, followed by her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Texas Christian University. During the course of her graduate studies, she gained experience in private clinics as well as in outpatient hospital settings. Prior to joining Therapy at Play in 2022, Annie worked in the public school setting. She has experience assessing and supporting children from infancy – teen years with a variety of disorders, including autism, Down syndrome, hearing loss, intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, and others. She has thorough experience working with children with receptive and expressive language disorders, speech sound disorders, fluency disorders, social/pragmatic differences, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). Annie is a certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist and is a Natural Language Acquisition Practitioner versed in gestalt language processing. Annie prioritizes connecting with her clients and creating individualized care plans to help each child communicate to the best of their ability.

In her free time, she enjoys hiking, spending time with her friends, and playing with her sweet nieces and nephew!
