Lauren Tsuruda, CF, completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Washington in Seattle, earning a Bachelor of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences with a minor in Education, Learning, and Society. She then moved to the East Coast to pursue her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston, MA.
Lauren has gained diverse clinical experience across pediatric and adult settings, including public schools, private clinics, and specialized centers for neurological communication disorders. She has provided therapy for clients with a wide range of needs, including receptive and expressive language disorders, speech sound disorders, motor speech disorders, pragmatic language difficulties, and cognitive-linguistic deficits. Her graduate training included placements at the MGH Institute Aphasia Center, the Boston PEERS® Social Skills Program, and Boston Public Schools, where she worked with individuals with diagnoses such as autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, aphasia, apraxia, and social/pragmatic communication disorders. She also has experience supporting communication through both low- and high-tech AAC systems.
Lauren is passionate about providing client-centered, evidence-based care that is both functional and culturally responsive. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, cooking, baking, working out, and spending time with friends and family.
