Katie Mason, OTD, learned her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Health Promotion from Saint Mary’s College of California, and went on to complete her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy at Samuel Merritt University. During her doctoral capstone, Katie focused on increasing accessibility and inclusivity for children with developmental disabilities in public libraries. Her project involved enhancing sensory-supportive spaces and providing staff education on how to better support sensory needs.
Katie is passionate about empowering children and their families to participate fully in the activities that matter most to them. She is committed to providing neuroaffirming care and strives to create a safe, supportive space where every child feels seen, respected, and capable. Katie believes every child can thrive with the right tools and support, and she brings this belief into every aspect of her care.
Outside of the clinic, Katie enjoys thrift shopping, reading, spending time with her family, and exploring the outdoors.
